Betto Hererra

Norberto “Betto” Herrera is originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador. Betto’s love for dance started at a young age, as he constantly searched for new moves and ways of improving his dancing. His love for dance includes all genres from salsa/mambo, cumbia, and quebradita, to ballroom, jazz, ballet and tango. His appreciation for the arts can be seen and felt in his dancing. With exciting funky footwork, body movement and unique musical interpretation both on and off the stage, Betto is one to watch every time he hits the dance floor.

Betto is Mambo Dinamico Dance Company’s founder, choreographer, director and master instructor.  His classes are very popular in and out of North Carolina, where he is based and has introduced hundreds of people to the art of Latin dance. His method of transmitting rhythm to his students is one of a kind, since he can explain and break down footwork to the sounds of different instruments.  This musicality can be experienced every time Betto dances.

Betto is the pioneer of salsa/mambo on2 dancing in NC.  He and his dance troupe have performed in numerous stages throughout the US and beyond.  He has taught numerous master workshops from partner work, open footwork, chacha, musicality, and different salsa dance styles.  His teaching experience extends to over 10 years of creating and training dancers.  To learn more about Betto and Mambo Dinamico Dance Company, visit www.mambodinamico.com.
